In order to change a situation you first have to acknowledge it exists and in doing this you empower yourself to take the necessary action to seek the help you need. Being in an abusive relationship is a downward spiral; no victim has ever stayed in an abusive or violent relationship and emerged a better person for it. It doesn’t work that way.
The harsh reality is it can and will only get worse. The only people who emerge better are the one’s who leave and take the positive steps to rebuild their lives. We can help you achieve this.
We have a team made up of Life-Coaches, Therapists and Advisors to support and help survivors through this traumatic time. We are focused on positive action to help you take control of your life and help build your self-esteem and confidence.
NewPaths intends to offer a safe non-judgemental environment with services for male victims of domestic abuse and violence. We invite male victims to come and share their experiences and seek advice in a friendly atmosphere. We intend to offer support for men who currently have no shield of defence against domestic abuse.
Our group sessions offer a safe place for victims to mix with other people who have also survived similar situations; we encourage our victims to build new friendships within the centre and help support each other emotionally. We are determined to create a friendly positive atmosphere where people can come and find peace and friendship in a safe, bonded and unified environment.
We will offer programmes, refreshments, advice and put you in contact with other departments that can assist in the individual needs of the survivor. We intend to free the individual and break the chains that imprison so many.
Our services will be available to any adult over the age of 18 who is seeking to escape an abusive, violent, threatening, or aggressive relationship, whether it is their current partner, a married partner, their ex-partner or relatives.
